Dark Summoning is a slot from Hacksaw Gaming, released in 2023, built around a dark and horror theme. Press play on the demo and Dark Summoning loads in the browser with play-money credits; nothing to install and nothing to sign up for. We file it under the long-form pace class: feature rounds can stretch a single trigger into a long sequence.

How a spin of Dark Summoning plays

Dark Summoning is a video slot: set a stake, spin, and the symbols that land decide the win. It runs on a 5x6 grid and paylines wins. Wins are counted along fixed lines, which keeps each spin quick to read. Speed settings change how fast a spin animates, not what it pays, so the maths is the same at any pace.

Which features speed it up or slow it down

Dark Summoning lists 7 features in our data; these are the ones that matter most for pace:

• Free Spins — the bonus round here; it plays out over several spins, so budget a little extra time when it lands.
• Wild — wild symbols stand in for other symbols to complete wins.
• Multiplier — a multiplier attached to a win is what turns a small spin into a memorable one.
• Tumble — tumbles are why some Dark Summoning spins are over in a second and others run on for a while.

Free spins and tumble are the part that makes a session run long: when they land, one stake buys a lot of screen time.

The numbers: RTP, variance and ceiling

The listed RTP is 96.36%, in line with the typical online figure of around 96%. RTP is a long-run average over a very large number of spins; a short session can land far above or below it. With very high volatility, expect long dry spells broken by rare large wins. Max win sits at 10,666x, a headline ceiling that very few sessions will ever touch.

Session pacing: how fast Dark Summoning moves

On PayoutClock we time things, so we read every game for pace. Dark Summoning sits in our Long-form class: extended spins and a swing rating of 5/5. In long-form titles the base game is the waiting room and the feature is the event; budget time as well as money. A swing of 5/5 means the balance line jumps around, so judge Dark Summoning over a longer demo session. Decide on a stop time before your first spin of Dark Summoning; a visible clock is the oldest responsible-gambling tool there is.

A stopwatch test for the demo

A spec sheet only tells you so much. Three steps to measure Dark Summoning yourself:

1. Load the Dark Summoning demo, start your phone's stopwatch and play 50 spins without turbo; the elapsed time is your honest pace figure.
2. Run one test without buying the feature and, if you like, a second with Buy Bonus — the gap between the two sessions shows how much time the buy saves and how much balance it costs.
3. Turn the result into a spend rate (spins per minute × stake × minutes); if the figure looks big for Dark Summoning, shorten the session.

Who Dark Summoning suits

It suits slot players who enjoy a feature chase, risk-tolerant players happy to ride out swings, players who would rather buy the feature than wait for it and fans of dark themes. If you only have a few minutes, a quick-round game from our crash or instant-win hubs will fit better.
